Verification – 1200 students (all three years) submit twice a year. 2400 submissions to verify at 4 portfolios per hour = 600 hours of academic time = 16 weeks (4 months) = 20K

Photocopying – 150,000 sheets of paper for each cohort, of which, in 3 year programme, 72,000 will need to be photocopied and manually filed (3 months) = £10K (actual copier costs excluded)

Verification online group 20 students takes 2 hours and no photocopying. 2400 submissions will take 240 hours or 6 1/2 weeks to complete which equates to 8K

Three years costs of paper based assessment £46K x £ = £138K

Three year cost of electrocic assessment £30K build plus £8K annual costs = £54K
