Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS)
We have worked with ICAS since 2008 to provide their logbook for students working to achieve chartered status.
Their original logbook contained several hundred competencies with both mandatory and optional minimum requirements, as well as the need to track time. Students could choose one of around ten routes, each with different requirements.
The New Logbook
In 2023 we were asked to deliver a new logbook for ICAS. We were honoured to be invited to continue our working relationship with the institute and delivered the new ICAS Logbook in August 2023.

The new logbook is designed to be more intuitive and user friendly. Our aim was to simplify the process for both students and the firm supporting them through their studies. On ICAS’s website there is a guide for understanding the new logbook, including details of the new roles, responsibilities, and tasks.
